Privacy Policy

We process the following categories of personal data depending on how you use the service.

1. Account data: Email address, username, authentication data, language preference, timezone, account status, and verification or password reset records.
2. Newsletter and inbox data: Forwarded newsletter email content, sender and recipient addresses, subject lines, timestamps, HTML or text bodies, generated summaries, categories, tags, and digest delivery metadata.
3. Service and security data: IP address, user agent, device and browser information, locale cookie values, access logs, and records needed to detect abuse or protect the service.
4. Uploaded or stored files: Files or images uploaded through product features, and email objects stored for inbox rendering or digest delivery.

We use personal data only for specific service, security, and legal purposes.

1. Account operation: Creating accounts, verifying email addresses, authenticating users, maintaining settings, and providing customer support.
2. Newsletter processing: Receiving forwarded newsletters, generating AI summaries, organizing inbox items, sending digest emails, and preserving the original email view requested by the user.
3. Service improvement and security: Debugging, monitoring reliability, preventing spam or unauthorized use, enforcing limits, and maintaining service integrity.
4. Legal compliance: Complying with applicable laws, responding to lawful requests, preserving evidence, and protecting rights and safety.

Account data and newsletter data are retained while your account is active or while needed to provide the service. When account deletion is processed, we delete or anonymize personal data unless retention is required by law, dispute resolution, security, or legitimate operational obligations.

Backups and logs may remain for a limited period according to ordinary backup, security, and disaster recovery cycles before they are overwritten or deleted.

We use trusted service providers to operate NewsInbox. These providers process personal data only for the contracted service purposes.

These processors may be located outside Korea, including the United States. Data is transferred over encrypted networks when required to provide the service.

We do not sell personal data or disclose it to third parties for their independent marketing. We may disclose data when you request it, when required by law, when necessary to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.

NewsInbox uses a locale cookie that is necessary to remember your language preference. Authentication data may also be stored by the client application for signed-in sessions.

If Google Analytics is enabled, analytics cookies or similar technologies may be used to understand product usage only where a valid consent or legal basis is in place. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may limit service functionality.

NewsInbox uses automated processing to summarize, translate, categorize, tag, and organize newsletter content. These AI features are used to provide reading assistance and are not used to make decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects about you.

AI-generated summaries may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review the original newsletter when accuracy is important.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, withdrawal of consent, data portability, and information about automated processing.

You can exercise these rights by contacting us. We may verify your identity before responding to a request.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, encrypted network transmission, credential management, and operational monitoring.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. If we identify a data incident that requires notice, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.

NewsInbox is not intended for children under 14. We do not knowingly allow children under 14 to create accounts or use the service.
